New features

The new feature is introduced in KACE Cloud:

Companion Edition with Remote License

KACE Cloud now offers a Companion Edition with Remote subscription specifically for Windows and Mac devices. It provides the same features as the Companion Edition license and enables remote access for the devices within your tenant.

This special subscription is competitively priced. It now offers a Companion Edition with Remote subscription specifically for Windows and Mac devices. It provides the same features as the Companion Edition license and enables remote access for the devices within your tenant. It can be used to provision both new and existing tenants, ensuring remote access is enabled for eligible devices. Further, the KACE Cloud Companion Edition with Remote subscription can be purchased alongside existing KACE Cloud subscriptions and can be combined with MDM and Secure licenses but cannot coexist with the Companion Edition license.

The minimum purchase requirement is 100 device licenses. KACE Cloud will always allocate the least-cost available license to a device and automatically reallocate as new licenses are purchased.

Enhancements

The following is a list of enhancements implemented in KACE Cloud.

  • Windows Insider/ARM Detection: Improved the identification of unsupported devices for patching by displaying build version and architecture details.
  • Inventory Updates : Added support for Windows Insider builds and monitor connected to devices in the device inventory.
  • Performance Improvements: Multiple UI and service performance improvements were made to the product in this release. Certain data is now only loaded on-demand when requested by the user, and the system is now better balanced to handle characteristic workloads for different types of customers.
  • Patching Catalog: The patch catalog now includes Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and the Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS) scores for each CVE associated with a patch. CVEs now have an easy-to-read table in the patch detail section. The CVSS scores are identified using industry standard labels (Critical, High, Medium, Low) and can be easily included in your patch filters. Also, in addition to the EPSS scores, a simple 'Yes or No' for exploitability data is available for use in patch filters. When used in conjunction with our existing filter criteria, you can now more confidently determine which patches need urgent attention in your environment.
